Have you ever felt like you were rearranging the chairs on the deck of the Titanic with your work, leadership or coaching tasks?
What this means is that we’re caught up focusing on trivial surface level tasks while ignoring much larger, impending problems. Problems that, if solved, could have a large impact. To steer clear of this, think in First Principles and ask yourself: “What is it my issue, or my industry, can’t do without”, boil things down to the fundamental truth, and ensure what you’re working on is the right thing.

“The Way To Love”
The title doesn’t exactly depict what the content consists of here as it is really more of a philosophy book that peels back the layers of reality. What the late Anthony De Mello does with this work is help the reader “awaken”, see things that truly matter and understand our “attachments.” Disclaimer: Anthony De Mello is a Catholic priest (that may not be your thing) so there are a few instances where he delves into some religious stories but nothing too deep. Awesome read, very short.
